Project Valour-IT needs donations. | June 12th, 2006
For those of you who are unfamilier with Project Valour-IT it provides voice-controlled software and laptop computers to wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines recovering from hand and arm injuries or amputations.
As detailed at Castle Arrgghhh there are people waiting but there’s no money. so give them money.
The first ten people to donate $100 get a “Cluebat of Argghhh!” of their very own. At present there are 4 left.
$100 is beyond my means at present however WEF last Friday untill further notice $1 from each Gnome Home sold online will be donated to Project Valor-IT
Consequently todays mailout was followed up with a $5:00 donation. Not much but come Christmas it will get a lot busier and as they say, every little bit helps.

What you might also mention is that you could send them good late model lap tops. I used this as an excuse to upgrade my laptop last year.Mine ended up going to a disabled vet that didn’t need the software but I think that the software was available if needed.
