Seems that following the coronation of The One in Denver, the styrofoam faux-Greek columns weren’t the only things the Dhimms considered as used props, to be disposed of.
Seems they also chucked a very substantial number of the some 12,000 American Flags they bought for the delegates and spectators to wave, right into the trash.
While others may point out the crass and un-patriotic spirit on display here, I think I’ll just point out what a very poor decision this was, strictly from a business perspective.
12,000 Flags. Flags in fine shape for re-use at other events. Flags perfectly suitable for donation or use in National Cemeteries to mark the graves of veterans. Flags that the DNC and/or the Obama campaign purchased, using the $5 and $10 dollar donations from people who might feel a bit used to find out their money was tossed straight in the garbage can.
In the bigger scheme of things, sure, the several thousand dollars involved is just chump change. But a few thousand here, a few million there, and pretty soon you’re talking real money. The devil is in the details, and this particular ugly little detail indicates a fairly slipshod and sloppy approach to effectively managing resources ‘they’ were entrusted with.
It should be pointed out, however, that someone was looking out after the $5 and $10 dollar investments that people made after being amazed by the Hope-N-Change traveling road show. That someone is the Republicans, who rescued the discarded flags with the help of some alert Invesco Field workers, and are going to re-use the flags, to help all those whose donations made it possible get the best value for their money.
I’m sure they thank you for your support.
Update: Yeah, right on schedule, they’re whining about it.

The kicker is that the Dems are now whining because the Republicans “wrongfully took” those flags that the Dems threw in the trash.
