Oh, thank goodness! |

Via Stanley Kurtz’ continuing exploration of the documentation of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, I took a visit to Steve Diamond’s blog “Global Labor and Politics” today. Although Steve and I would probably not quite see eye to eye opinion wise on a variety of topics, it is immediately apparent that we agree that the Annenberg/Obama/Ayers issue has a lot more depth than the Obama campaign has admitted to so far. Spend some time looking around. Steve has done some genuine heavy lifting, and his blog is a treasure trove of information on this topic.

I also found a very enlightening piece by Steve, which puts some real flesh on the question of Obama’s political philosophy - something the campaign and the candidate have been deliberately vague, and at times downright misleading about; particularly anything prior to the 2004 Convention appearance, and especially anything before Barry’s term in the Illinois State House.

To summarize the good news in Steve’s analysis - Barack Obama is not a genuine communist.

Whew, that’s a load off. Unfortunately, Steve’s standard for who actually is a ‘communist’ is pretty narrow - but what he is able to do is describe just exactly how and why what he believes Obama to actually be is worse in many ways. And I’ve got to say he makes a very persuasive, and chilling, argument.

His argument paints a very, very credible and logical picture of how the young lawyer and the aging 60’s radical were able to find common cause, and how well their agendas actually mesh together, and in some ways are indistinguishable. It leaves little wonder as to why Barry has tried to Heisman anything putting his name anywhere near Ayers.

This is the kind of investigative reporting and analysis that the MSM either can’t or won’t do. I highly recommend that anyone wanting to grasp exactly what was going on in Chicago in the late 80’s and 90’s should give this a good read. It ties together what appear to be, and the Obama campaign and the Democrats are working to help keep them that way, seemingly unrelated associations and activities, including circumstantial indications that Obama may not only have been aware of Jeremiah Wright’s views and positions, but likely shares them, as well.

Sure explains why they were trying to present him as a totally empty suit. Cause the actual contents aren’t really fit for wide spread consumption.
